Cathleen in San Pedro, California
In August 2024, Cathleen was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Since then, she’s gone through multiple rounds of chemo, extended hospital stays, and now faces a bone marrow transplant. This next step means harsh treatment, full-body radiation, and at least six weeks in the hospital. Her husband Nick will be by her side the whole time.
Even with everything she’s facing, Cathleen has stayed herself—funny, strong, and full of heart. She makes people laugh with silly videos and photos, and she’s never afraid to show up as who she is. (Remember, “Fre-shavaca-do” from Vine?! THAT’S HER!)
She loves her family, cilantro, Tom Selleck, cats, drag queens, and a good meal. What she (and her family) need most right now is encouragement. Let’s surround them with reminders that they’re not alone in this.
This Campaign has concluded. Thank you to all who contributed.
